Pattern Interrupt for a Fresh Perspective
By Paul Higginbotham ·
To continue with my discussion on Rest. I wanted to share something that happened to me in the last couple of years. I had heard people talk about pattern interrupt where you go to a different place or get out of your routine to get a fresh perspective. Some people I met even suggested going out of the country. I went on a mission trip to Guatemala a couple of years ago, because I enjoy giving back, and I just like to travel in general. While I was there, I experienced what pattern interrupt can do for you. I was busy teaching and helping people in Guatemala and one night while I was being quiet, I received answers for questions I had for a long time. The answers came flooding into my mind. After this experience, I went to my first business conference and forced my mind out of autopilot and into some new thought patterns that challenged me to grow and think at a higher level. Pattern Interrupt is such a powerful principle that can make lasting change in your life and open the door to a new way of thinking.
