Why Business Owners Need Real Vacations

Maybe this will sound familiar if you are a business owner. I went for many years without a true vacation. I would login morning, afternoon and evening to check on work. One time in particular, I had a project I was working on, and I had double checked with the condo that I could connect to a VPN using their network. They assured me it would work. When we got to the condo, I could not connect. After fighting with it for a day, I had to find an alternative place to work. I spent the majority of that Florida beach vacation at a McDonald's working while my wife enjoyed the beach. I didn't realize it at the time, but I was sabotaging my business, relationships, and my health. I found a much better way to run my business that didn't ruin all the other things in my life.
